Behind the ear (BTE)

Are worn behind the ear with a custom made ear mould or a slim tube (see below for the slim tube explanation).  BTE hearing aids are suitable for all degrees of hearing loss. Steeply sloping high frequency hearing losses are best fitted with a BTE.  Severe to profound hearing losses are also best fitted with a BTE.  There are many miniature styles of BTE aids available now.
